Home is Now

HOME IS NOW is Think+DO Tank Foundation’s community-led creative program grounded in the present. It responds to the lived realities of people in diaspora, including First Nations people, migrants, and refugees, by focusing on gathering, making, and care as active ways of being together. The program is designed to support sustained relationships rather than one-off engagement, with creative activity emerging from trust, continuity, and shared purpose.

Delivery is relational and responsive. Staff work as hosts and facilitators, not directors, creating conditions for collaboration, listening, and collective authorship. Programs are paced to community rhythms, with the flexibility to adapt as needs shift. Public outcomes are important, but they are shaped by process and responsibility, not imposed timelines.

HOME IS NOW is guided by a set of shared principles that underpin every stream and activity. These include community-led authorship and decision-making, paid participation that recognises cultural labour, multilingual access and support, First Nations leadership and cultural protocol, and care-led approaches to public presentation. Together, these principles ensure the program is delivered with integrity, dignity, and long-term impact.
